The China Britain Youth Association is a new, not-for-profit organisation that aims to deepen mutual understanding between young people in Britain and China.

In October 2011, CBYA hosted the first China-Britain Youth Dialogue in Beijing. The Dialogue aims to promote frequent and meaningful engagement between youth leaders in China and Britain. Thirty youth leaders from across Britain and China converged to share perspectives on the opportunities and challenges facing China and Britain’s relationship in the 21st Century and presented their findings to an international forum of esteemed representatives from government, business, academia and civil society.

In 2012, CBYA is rolling out a network of regional chapters. These will be local groups run by semi-autonomous committees with the aim of raising the overall level of understanding between China and Britain. The local chapters will be supported in running and events that work towards this objective from hosting speakers to providing networking opportunities.
