‘China Britain 3.0: Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Innovation’

3rd-6th October, 2011.

Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.

The inaugural China-Britain Youth Dialogue will bring together 30 young leaders from Britain and China to discuss how both countries can work together to enhance economic growth whilst reducing its impact upon the natural environment.

Over four sessions, delegates will discuss the role of business, law, innovation, technology, and education in promoting sustainability, with input from expert speakers.  Delegates will present their findings in teams at the Dialogue’s closing gala. The Dialogue will provide excellent opportunities to connect with other future leaders from the UK and China.

The Dialogue is open to Chinese and British delegates, aged between 18 and 30 years old, with a proven record of academic or professional success and an interest in China-Britain relations.

The China-Britain Youth Dialogue comes at a time when Britain’s relationship with China has never been more important. Our two countries are increasingly linked through business, tourism and academic exchange, yet mutual understanding remains worryingly low.  The Dialogue has been designed for the purpose of helping young people in the UK and China to understand and maximise the immense potential offered by the two countries’ relationship.
